Bollywood actor Sunny Deol's recently released action-drama Jaat produced by Mythri Movie Makers and People Media Factory in Gopichand Malineni's direction generated good pre release buzz. But to everyone's surprise the film struggled to make the impact it was expected to at the box office. Despite high expectations and favourable reviews from both critics and the audience, the film witnessed a significant drop in collections on its second day.

Jaat was released on April 10 to a lukewarm start, the film's worldwide box office collection was Rs 13 crore on its opening day, with a domestic gross of Rs 11.60 crore. Jaat collected Rs 5+ crore on its second day, April 11, bringing the film's total earnings to Rs 17 crore. Despite positive reviews, Jaat's performance has been below par compared to other recent releases like Salman Khan's Sikandar and Akshay Kumar's Sky Force. The film's underwhelming box office numbers may limit its theatrical run, and it now depends heavily on strong word of mouth to recover its momentum.

Directed by Gopichand Malineni, Jaat features Sunny Deol as Bhaskar Singh Jaat, a rugged traveler who ends up in a conflict-ridden village in Andhra Pradesh's Prakasam district. The film depicts his struggle against Ranatunga, played by Randeep Hooda, in a life-and-death fight to defend the downtrodden. The film stars Regina Cassandra also features Vineet Kumar Singh, Saiyami Kher, Ramya Krishna, and Jagapathi Babu in supporting cast roles. While the performances have been praised, the coming days will be crucial for Jaat as it tries to recover its momentum.

The film's success will depend on its ability to sustain interest and attract more viewers. With a powerhouse cast, including Sunny Deol, Randeep Hooda, and Regina Cassandra, Jaat has the potential to perform well if it can generate strong word of mouth. However, given its current trajectory, it remains to be seen whether Jaat can match the success of Sunny Deol's previous film Gadar 2. The film's extended weekend collections will be crucial in determining its overall performance.
