Pawan Kalyan pays his homage to Shihan Hussaini. Shihan Hussaini, renowned martial arts exponent, archery teacher, sculptor, actor, host passed away in the morning hours of today in Chennai. He was battling blood cancer for quite sometime. It is known that Pawan Kalyan trained under him in martial arts.

Knowing his death, AP Dy CM Pawan Kalyan, paid floral tributes. He said "'I am deeply saddened to know that renowned martial arts and archery instructor Shihan Hussaini has breathed his last. I had received karate training from him. I came to know about the illness of martial arts guru Hussaini four days ago. I have inquired about his health through my friends in Chennai and have informed them that if he needs to be sent abroad for better treatment, I will make appropriate arrangements for that. I have also decided to go to Chennai on the 29th of this month to visit Hussaini. It is very sad to hear the bad news. I pray that Hussaini's soul may rest in peace."

Recollecting his association, Pawan Kalyan said "In Chennai, Hussaini taught karate with very strict rules and regulations. I followed what he said exactly. At first, he did not agree to teach me karate. He said, 'I am not training right now, I cannot do it.' After much persuasion, he agreed. I went early in the morning and stayed with him until evening and received black belt training in karate. My training experiences from that time contributed to the scenes where the protagonist in the film Tammudu practices hard to learn kickboxing. About three thousand people reached the black belt level under Hussaini's training. Hussaini worked hard to popularize the sport of archery in Tamil Nadu. He held important responsibilities in that state's Archery Association"

Pawan Kalyan continued "Hussaini's talent was not limited to martial arts and archery. He was a multi-faceted talent. He was proficient in music. He was a good painter and sculptor. He acted in many films. He used to give inspiring speeches. He used to take them with him when he went to speak at the Chennai Rotary Club and other conference halls. A multi-talented man, Hussaini wanted to make martial arts more accessible to the youth. His announcement that he would donate his body to a medical college after his death – revealed his vision. I express my deepest condolences to Hussaini's family.'
