Oo Antava not meant for Samantha

Samantha shot to fame with the special song Oo Antava from Allu Arjun's Pushpa The Rise directed by Sukumar.

The foottapping tune of Devi Sri Prasad and the thought provoking lyrics of Chandra Bose and the husky voice of Indravati Chauhan turned the song into a evergreen chartbuster. To the top of it, Samantha's sensuous moves in the song right after her divorce with Naga Chaitanya set the screens on fire.

Now, producer Ravi Yerneni speaking to scribes shared that they never thought of casting Samantha in the song. He said their first choice was Kethika Sharma and even they initiated talks with her but it did not materialise. He said anyway now he is happy that Kethika did the special song Adhi Dhaa Surprisu in Nithiin's Robinhood.

Nithiin's Robinhood directed by Venky Kudumula is releasing on 28 March 2025. The film stars Sreeleela as the female lead and GV.Prakash Kumar is the music director.
