Dhanush Directorial Venture Idly Kadai Postponed

Dhanush's upcoming film 'Idly Kadai', which marks his directorial debut, has been postponed from its initial release date of April 10th. The film, starring Dhanush and Nithya Menen in the lead roles, was forced to reschedule its release due to Ajith's 'Good Bad Ugly' occupying the same slot. According to speculation, 'Idly Kadai' may now release in August or September this year. Akash Bhaskaran, the head of Dawn Pictures, the production house behind the film, confirmed the postponement and revealed that only 10% of the foreign shoot remains pending.

The postponement of 'Idly Kadai' can also be attributed to the unavailability of the actors. Dhanush, who is not only directing but also starring in the film, is currently busy with his Hindi project 'Tere Ishk Mein' alongside Kriti Sanon. The film, directed by Anand L. Rai, is scheduled to release in November this year. Meanwhile, 'Idly Kadai' is expected to release in August, following Dhanush's other film 'Kubera' in June.

With multiple projects in the pipeline, Dhanush is set to have a packed year. Apart from 'Idly Kadai' and 'Tere Ishk Mein', he also has 'Kubera' lined up for release in June.
