Srikakulam Sherlock Holmes story is written by Mohan who made his debut as the director. Mohan starts the narration and after few minutes introduces Vennela Kishore character. Vennela Kishore's entry gives the added fillip to the story. Though the scenes featuring Vennela Kishore livenup the proceedings, the plot and the narration becomes too predictable in the first half. The screenplay fails to excite in the first half and viewers wait for the second half to find out if there are enough thrills.
The second half fares better comparatively to the first half with few twists and turns thoug at times few twists looks silly. Mohan took many cinematic liberties and also wrote the screenplay conveniently at times ignoring the logics.
The music of Sunil Kashyap did not make an impression. However, his background music elevated the scenes. Mallikarjun Nargani with his cinematography is good and showed the locations in natural and realistic way. The editing of Avinash Gurlink could have been better as there are many scenes that dragged the proceedings. Production values are just average.
Altogether, Srikakulam Sherlock Holmes, turns out to be an average entertainer. Director Mohan tried to thrill viewers with the investigative thriller but he failed to come with with gripping screenplay and interesting story. However, aided by few twists and spirited performances of Vennela Kishore and Ananya Nagalla, he manages to satisfy the viewers to some extent. Considering all these, aspects Cinejosh goes with a 2 rating for Srikakulam Sherlock Holmes.
