Rakul on her role in Indian 2. Rakul Preet Singh, who is currently working on the highly anticipated film Indian 2 alongside legendary actor Kamal Haasan, has shared her excitement about the project. As she awaits the film's release, she reveals that she has a deep personal connection with her character in the sequel.

**A Special Film in Her Career**

Rakul describes Indian 2 as one of the most special films of her career, not only because of the talented people she is working with but also due to the significance of her character. "I play a headstrong, confident girl who knows exactly what she wants. And somewhere, I resonate completely with this character in my real life," she explains . The actress has been delighted to work with acclaimed director Shankar, who has guided her in bringing the character to life.

**Indian 2: A Highly Anticipated Sequel**

Indian 2, the sequel to Shankar's 1996 film, is scheduled to release on July 12, 2024. The film's main lead, Kamal Haasan, had earlier announced the new release date on social media, generating immense excitement among fans. The sequel comes with the tagline "Zero Tolerance" and has been in production since 2019. Apart from Kamal Haasan reprising his role as Senapathy, the film also features Kajal Aggarwal and Siddharth in lead roles.

**Overcoming Challenges**

The film's production was temporarily halted in 2020 after an accident injured the crew on set. Shooting was also delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the production resumed in 2022, with Shankar juggling shooting between Indian 2 and another project, Game Changer, starring Ram Charan and Kiara Advani.
