Mammootty Kaathal The Core Trailer Review

The much awaited trailer of Mammootty, Jyotika starrer upcoming film "Kaathal" with a tagline, 'The Core' is finally out. The film is directed by Jeo Baby who earlier directed the much acclaimed Malayalam film, "The Great Indian Kitchen".  Kaathal is produced by Mammootty himself under his Mammootty Kampany banner. 

The trailer of 'Kaathal' promises an intense slow-burner emotional drama. Mammootty is seen as Mathew Devassy, a middle-aged family man who is set to contest in a local panchayat election. Jyotika, played his wife's role. In the trailer, it is mentioned that they have been married for 20 years, but doesn't seem like a happy couple. Interestingly, Jyotika doesn't have any dialogue in the trailer.

Kaathal also stars Lalu Alex, Muthumani, Chinnu Chandni, Sudhi Kozhikode, Anagha Akku and Josi Sijo. Mathews Pulickal serves the composer and cinematography is by Salu K Thomas. It is scripted by Adarsh Sukumaran and Paulson Skaria.

Kaathal, is set to hit screens on November 23. Apart from theatre release,  the film has also been picked for screening at this year's IFFI and IFFK. Trailer of Kaathal hinted a highly emotional drama with deals with complex relationship of married couple in an election and court case backdrop.
