Virat Kohli seized his maiden wicket in the World Cup in Bengaluru, dismissing Netherlands’ skipper Scott Edwards in the second over he bowled. Anushka Sharma's heartwarming reaction in the stands became an internet sensation, her joy and support for her husband captivating viewers.

Kohli's previous ODI wicket dated back to January 2014 against New Zealand. Following a twelve-inning spell without a wicket, on November 12, he rejoiced in picking up his first World Cup wicket. Anushka Sharma's emotional presence during this historic moment added a heartwarming touch to the scene, drawing attention for her pride and elation.

Meanwhile, during the match, Rohit Sharma entered to bowl in the 48th over against the Netherlands, who needed over 150 runs with one wicket and three overs left. Although he faced a six on the fourth ball, he swiftly responded by taking Teja Nidamanuru's wicket on the very next delivery, securing his 9th ODI wicket, a feat unseen since 2012.

The crowd was already energized when Rohit took to bowling, and their cheers amplified as he claimed the crucial wicket. Ritika Sajdeh, Rohit's wife, couldn’t contain her joy when the camera focused on her after her husband's remarkable performance. Rohit's ninth wicket in his 260-ODI career was a rare instance as it marked his return to bowling in an ODI match after 2016. Rohit, known for his occasional bowling in his early career, had to halt due to a shoulder injury.
