Atlee Kumar : A Director With All Blockbusters

Director Atlee is now one of the most sought after director. He is someone who has been delivering only blockbusters in his career. This director Shankar protege has inherited his master's style of narrating vigilante style of stories blending with typical commercial elements resulting in churning out Blockbusters in his career.

Atlee turned into director with a love story, 'Raja Rani' starring Arya, Nayanthara, Jai and Nazriya. This film which explored life after breakup has struck a chord with the audience for its emotional theme. With the first film itself, Atlee is considered as promising talent with a great future. 

He got big offer for his second film with Thalapathy Vijay. He changed his path from love story to a high voltage actioner and made 'Theri'. It became huge blockbuster perfectly utilising Vijay's image and strengths. After 'Theri', Vijay - Atlee's combination became one of the biggest in Tamil and consequently delivered two blockbusters with 'Mersal' and 'Bigil'.

After becoming one of the top directors, Atlee approached Shahrukh Khan with 'Jawan'. Knowing his ability to handle big films with social themes in commercial format, SRK did 'Jawan' and scored a huge blockbuster. The film is cruising towards Rs 1000 Crore club at the box-office.
