Startling revelations about Kangana in Chandramukhi 2.Raghava Lawrence's Chandramukhi 2 is generating immense interest as it happens to be the sequel to the blockbuster Chandramukhi which starred Rajnikanth, Nayanthara and Jyothika in the lead roles.

Chandramukhi 2 stars Kangana Ranaut in the lead role while Lakshmi Menon, Mahima Nambiar, Manjima Mohan, Srushti Dange, and Subiksha Krishnan are the female leads. The film is releasing on 15 September 2023.

Almost all of them are showering praises on Kangana Ranaut's performance. But inside talk is Kangana was not the first choice for Chandramukhi 2. Before approaching Kangana Ranaut, the makers planned to rope in Kajal for the lead role. But even before they contacted Kajal Agarwal, the makers planned to cast Sai Pallavi in the lead role.

Director P.Vasu narrated the story and even Sai Pallavi liked it. However, Sai Pallavi asked for a small change in the climax and as the makers did not respond, Sai Pallavi couldn't do the project. Many are saying had Sai Pallavi played the lead role, Chandramukhi 2 would have got tremendous buzz by now.
