Hyderabad,Oct 21: The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Wednesday gave a reprieve for Mr Chamundeswarinath, the former general secretary of the Andhra Cricket Association, by extending his stay order.Taking the case for trial, the High Court directed the police department to complete probe in two weeks time and file the charge sheet.The court also directed the police not to arrest Chamundeswarinath till the probe is completed.
The Vijayawada police had filed cases against Mr Chamundeswarinath after several women cricketers lodged complaints that he tried to sexually harass them.Following a petition from Mr Chamundeswarinath, the High Court directed the Vijayawada city police to complete the probe in two weeks and file the comprehensive report.Vijayawada police said they were preparing a case under section 354 of the IPC.
