The recent developments in Tollywood is making the right-thinking people remark that there is a senseless run after pan-India stardom and many are coming up with silly plans to become pan-India stars. Among Tollywood stars, only four actors have pan-India stardom. First among them is Prabhas who attained international stardom with Baahubali. From then on he is making pan India projects.
Ram Charan and NTR following Rajamouli's RRR became pan-India stars. Ram Charan's next is a pan-India entertainer under the direction of Shankar. NTR is yet to kickstart his next projects with Koratala Shiva and Prashant Neel but they will be pan-India films. Next is Allu Arjun who created a sensation with Pushpa The Rise.
The makers of Pawan Kalyan's Hari Hara Veera Mallu and Samantha's Shakuntalam are releasing the films in various languages across the country as Hari Hara Veera Mallu is a period entertainer while Shakuntalam is based on the Hindu epic Mahabharat. One can understand all the aspects.
Raviteja estimated the craze for him in Bollywood and tested his luck with Khiladi which turned out to be a disaster. However, he is not backing off as his next Tiger Nageswara Rao is releasing as a pan India project. But people will be shocked when Ram-Boyapati's film which is a routine mass masala film is releasing as a pan India project, Nani's Dasara with Srikanth Odela is releasing at pan India level and Teja Sajja who is little known in Tollywood is slating his film HanuMan as pan India entertainer.
Even Sundeep Kishan who is yet to reach the next level of stardom in the south is releasing his film Michael on pan India basis. This reminds one of Manchu Vishnu's claims of planning a Hollywood film at the international level. These silly plans and senseless run is making a mockery of pan-India projects and the word itself.
