Will RRR revive the sagging Tollywood surge in Bollywood?

Tollywood movie lovers and filmmakers for super thrilled with the sensation Icon Star Allu Arjun's Pushpa created in Bollywood. The Pushpa which was released with nil promotions took on the might of the Hollywood project Spiderman-No Way Home and Bollywood film 83 and crossed all of them to become the highest grosser in the Indian film industry for the year 2021.

This inspired many Tollywood filmmakers to release their films in Bollywood. Mass Raja Raviteja's Khiladi was released in Hindi but the film failed miserably pulling the Tollywood surge in Bollywood. Many expected Pan India Star Prabhas' Radhe Shyam to put Tollywood colors in Bollywood in a powerful manner. But much to the shock of all the film turned out to be a disaster. Earlier Pawan Kalyan's Bheemla Nayak makers planned to release the film but despite the craze, the makers' delay reduced interest in the project. It is not known when the film's Hindi version will release in Bollywood.

Tollywood makers are getting worried at the sagging Tollywood surge at the Bollywood and all eyes are on Rajamouli's Rrr which is releasing on March 25. The film stars NTR and Ram Charan and also features Bollywood stars Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn in important roles. Rrr is carrying tremendous buzz and expectations are soaring. Now the question is will Rajamouli with Rrr revive the sagging Tollywood surge in Bollywood. He showed the power of Tollywood and south films with Baahubali and since Rrr happens to be his first after Baahubali, excitement is on. If Rajamouli does it once again, it will be a double treat for Tollywood. But then the onus on carrying it forward and maintaining the Tollywood surge also depends on other filmmakers to come with strong stores and powerful plots.
