Directors pen stories keeping a star in their mind, but they end up making the film with other stars owing to various reasons. Likewise, director Nag Ashwin of Mahanati penned a sci fi thriller for megastar Chiranjeevi who suggested young rebel star Prabhas would be a right choice for the project. As is known, Nag Ashwin later approached Prabhas with the same story and the hero at once gave his nod.
Now, Prabhas gives back to Chiranjeevi. Mega Power Star Ram Charan bought remake rights of Malayalam super hit Lucifer to make it with his dad Chiranjeevi. In fact, Chiru too liked the concept and asked Charan to look for a director for the film. Although Charan approached few directors with the proposal, none showed interest.
On the other hand, director Sujeeth who delivered an utter flop Saaho with Prabhas penned a story for Ram Charan. Prabhas recommend Sujeeth's name to Charan. However, Charan gave him the opportunity to direct Chiru in Lucifer remake. Sujeeth who feels it as a lifetime opportunity has signed the project.
Currently, Sujeeth is working on script for Telugu version of Lucifer. If this film turns out to be a commercial hit, then Charan will think of working under Sujeeth's direction.
