Sarileru: Director Tries to End Tamannah Controversy, But

Team Sarileru Neekevvaru is all set to unveil the next lyrical video 'Daang Daang' shot on Prince Mahesh Babu and milky beauty Tamannah. However, when the song was shot in a military camp set, it was speculated that Tamannah did it as an item number, and eventually a huge controversy was erupted among film folks. 

Sarileru Neekevvaru team drew the flak of critics then. Finally, director Anil Ravipudi tried to end the controversy stating that it was not an item number but a special song. 

"NDTV airs a special programme on every Independence day taking cine celebs to military camps and let the soldiers interact the celebs. The soldiers are also allowed to dance with cine celebs. Taking a leaf out of the channel's special programme's book, we incorporated the song that comes between Mahesh and Tamannah. It's not an item number but a special song," the director made it clear. 

However, nowadays, item song and special songs are synonymous. It remains to be seen how well audience receive this song that was shot with a rare backdrop.
