Rejected AS, But Wishing To Work With Tarak

Yesteryear actress Laya during her heydays romanced all top stars and cast a magic spell with her killer expressions and powerful performances. She later got married and settled in USA.

However finally she made her comeback playing an important role in Mass Raja Raviteja's Amar Akbar Antony. But before that she shocked all by rejecting Young Tiger NTR's Aravinda Sametha directed by Trivikram Srinivas.

Laya said she got similar kind of roles like mother earlier but since she looks young she rejected the role. Now many wondered what role Laya rejected in Aravinda Sametha.

Laya speaking to scribes revealed 'Trivikram offered the role of Basireddy (Jagapathy Babu)'s wife in the film. I refused as I felt that I need more maturity to play such emotional roles."

Trivikram cast Easwari Rao in the role. She moved all emotionally with her performance when her husband Basi Reddy kills their son (Naveen Chandra). Laya says, “I like Tarak's action a lot. I couldn't share screen presence in Aravinda Sametha but in future I will definitely star in Tarak's film".
