Suresh Babu Disappoints Venky Fans

It was a big surprise when Suresh Babu announced few days ago to remake Tamil super hit Asuran starring Dhanush in Telugu with his brother Venkatesh in lead. Nonethless, he didn’t announce the director then. There were numerous speculations about director to helm the project.

Finally, today, it has officially been announced that, Srikanth Addala will direct the film. This announcement obviously disappointed Venky fans who thought an inform director will handle the Telugu remake. Moreover, Asuran is a mass and rustic entertainer with revenge setup.

On the other hand, Srikanth Addala is known for class and family entertainers. Furthermore, he is going through lean phase with flops. Especially, his last flick Brahmotsavam with Mahesh Babu was an utter flop. The director later approached several heroes but none of them showed interest to team up with him. At last, he got the opportunity to direct Venky.

But, the question is can he ably handle the project, given that he hasn’t yet directed a film in the genre.
