Generally filmmakers and top stars target summer season to score sensational hits as it coincides with holiday season with schools and colleges giving holidays after the gruelling exams. But this summer, Tollywood stars are facing dual storm in form of general elections and also IPL. Two Telugu states Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are going for simultaneous polls on April 11, almost one month from now.

Already all the parties got battle ready and people are discussing only politics at present. Under these circumstances it is difficult for them to look towards theatres or think about cinemas. Apart from it, IPL criket matches are starting from March 23 and youngsters will be keenly following them. With IPL matches scheduled in the evening, it is difficult for them to throng theatres even if a film receives positive talk.

Under these circumstances, Allu Sirish's ABCD is readying for release on March 22nd and Nikhil's Arjun Suravaram is releasing on March 29th. Nani's Jersey, Naga Chaitanya-Samantha's Majili, Bellamkonda Srinivas, Kajal's Seetha and Sai Dharam Tej's Chitralahari are slated for April release.

Nani's Jersey which was slated for April 5th changed its date to April 12th and rumours spread that its latest date April 19th too would be changed. However the makers confirmed that the film will be releasing on April 19th and not on April 29th.

The question is will Jersey and Majili will release as scheduled as IPL too is starting on March 23. Seetha and Chitralahari are releasing after elections and so except for IPL they won't be facing any hurdles unlike Majili. In between small and dubbing films like NGK, Kanchana 3 are releasing in the same period.
