Ram Gopal Varma's highly controversial film Lakshmi's NTR theatrical trailer has been released today.
As expected RGV showcased only truths in the most disturbed phase of NTR's life. The trailer starts off with the quote 'Nammithene kadaa droham chesedi. Then the early days of TDP's humiliating defeat in 1989 are showcased.
As NTR faces a defeat, all of his close kin including his sons desert him. He is isolated and gets frustrated. Lakshmi Parvathi enters exactly at this stage of NTR. NTR introduces her to party's members as the lady who sets to pen his biography. Afterwards, a yellow newspaper publishes hatred articles against Lakshmi Parvathi.
And here comes the villain Chandrababu Naidu. He threatens NTR's sons that they would be finished if Lakshmi Parvathi gets a son for NTR. In the next scene, NTR cries on his sons alleging, "Meeru naa pillalai vundi kooda vaaditho cheraaraa...siggu lekundaa!". And then, NTR ties knot to Lakshmi Parvathi in a public meet.
And then comes the most pathetic scene in the life of NTR. NTR protests in front of Viceroy hotel against Naidu. But then, the party's activists, who turn Naidu's loyalists, pelt sandals on NTR.
Humiliated to the core by Naidu, NTR laments, "Naa Motham jeevithamlo chesina oke oka thappu...vaadini nenu nammadam."
Yes, RGV nailed it. The trailer is outstanding in presenting only truths. This is the best replica of a biopic's trailer. Can we expect the same honesty of RGV in full movie? Let's wait and watch.
