Hanuman Ansh 2 To Retain Low Budget Approach In Making

Producer Anupriya Nagar has revealed plans for Hanuman Ansh 2, saying the sequel will also be made on a controlled budget. She explained that the first film’s commercial success does not automatically justify a huge production cost. Unless the story genuinely demands scale, the team intends to maintain a realistic filmmaking approach.
Anupriya stressed that spending ₹10 crore or ₹20 crore does not guarantee better results. She believes unnecessary VFX or AI generated elements could reduce the film’s natural feel when the story does not require them. The sequel will therefore prioritise storytelling, authenticity, characters, period specific geography and atmosphere over excessive production expenditure.
Hanuman Ansh was released on August 7 and reportedly cost more than ₹1.5 crore, with Anupriya clarifying that the budget was not ₹2 crore. Despite its modest investment, the film has reportedly crossed ₹400 crore worldwide. Its performance has highlighted the commercial potential of content driven films made without extravagant budgets.
The producer said the team will carefully evaluate the sequel’s requirements before finalising its budget. If Hanuman Ansh 2 genuinely demands a larger scale, additional investment will be considered. However, the sequel could take longer because the director has committed to another project, delaying the film’s immediate production plans.
