Mixed Results for Films with Titles of Festivals

83 years of Tollywood's history witnessed many interesting titles for movies. Some of the movies have been titled with the names of Festivals and they have got mixed results. Checkout the following. 

BHOGI MANTALU: Released in 1981, Superstar Krishna starrer 'Bhogi Mantalu' got above average result at the box office.

SANKRANTHI: This Victory Venkatesh, Sneha and Aarthi Aggarwal starrer 2005s family entertainer scored hit at the box office. 

UGADHI: Director SV Krishnareddy shocked the audiences playing a protagonist in Ugadhi', his own directorial venture. The movie, which was released in 1997, got disaster result at  the ticket windows. 

MAHAA SIVARATHRI: Sai Kumar, Rajendra Prasad and Meena starrer 'Mahaa Sivarathri' could not score well at the box office.

HOLI: Uday Kiran's 'Holi' was a disaster. 

VINAYAKACHAVITHI: NTR, Jamuna and Krishna Kumar starrer 'Vinayaka Chavithi' was a super hit film released in 1957. 'Vathapi Ganapathimbhaje', 'Dinakaraa' songs are very much popular even today.

VIJAYADASHAMI: Kalyan Ram starrer 'Vijayadashami' was a flop at the box office. 

DEEPAVALI: NTR and Kantha Rao's 'Deepavali was a successful film released in 1960 while Venu starrer 2000 year's film 'Deepavali' was a dud. 

KARTHIKA POURNAMI: 1987's release 'Karthika Pournami' was an average grosser. 

VARALAKSHMI VRATHAM: This folklore/devotional 1961's film was a hit at the box office. 

KRISHNASHTAMI: Hero Sunil's new movie's title has been confirmed as 'Krishnashtami'. The result of this movie is awaited.
