After the emergence of Television network in mid eighties, people thought that it would be the end of cine industry. But nothing was happened. Later, Video cassette players ruled for some time and thus the roots of the piracy of movies formed then. However, cine industry has not got damaged. There after, hundreds of TV channels on one side and computers and internet technology on the other side, tried their best to blow the cine industry. Even then, rock steady growth of cine industry is noticed.
Currently Tollywood big personalities are worrying about the piracy of the movies. Interestingly, no harm is noticed in Tollywood because of piracy. Perhaps, piracy has been controlled drastically. 2012 has witnessed maximum number of blockbusters and super hits from big heroes as well as small heroes. We have seen the big hits such as 'Gabbar Singh', 'Rachcha', 'Eega' and 'Businessman' from big heroes. While 'Ishq', 'Poola Rangadu' 'Ee Rojullo' etc. from small heroes. This Pongal has witnessed two biggest blockbusters such as 'Naayak' and 'Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu'.
