Mythri shelves 130crs project with Ravi Teja. The reputed production house, Mythri Movie Makers, has reportedly decided to put a film on hold, facing budget constraints that would exceed Rs 130 crores. According to sources, the budget concerns were primarily due to the combined expenses of star Ravi Teja's remuneration, the director's fee, the fees of a top actress, and the main casting, totaling around Rs 50 crores. Additionally, substantial costs for top technicians were a contributing factor, considering the film's planned 130-day shooting schedule.
Despite facing setbacks with two recent releases, 'Ravanasura' and 'Tiger Nageswara Rao,' Ravi Teja is reportedly reluctant to take a pay cut for the upcoming project directed by Gopichand Mallineni. Negotiations to reduce the budget were conducted extensively, given the successful track record of the actor-director duo in delivering hits like 'Don Seenu,' 'Balupu,' and 'Krack.' However, challenges arose as the directorial team insisted on maintaining the film's quality without compromising on the budget.
The combination of Ravi Teja and Gopichand Mallineni has been well-received in the past, earning them a reputation for delivering entertaining blockbusters. Mythri Movie Makers, known for producing lavish entertainers with prominent stars like Chiranjeevi, Mahesh Babu, Jr NTR, and Allu Arjun, aimed for a viable budget for this particular film. The decision to put the project on hold was influenced by the need to balance financial considerations, especially given the current market dynamics where digital and Hindi dubbing rights have witnessed a significant decline.
In navigating these challenges, the production house remains committed to delivering high-quality entertainment and is expected to reassess the project when more favorable conditions prevail.
