Vishwambhara Long Road to Release

Mega Star Chiranjeevi’s Vishwambhara was launched as a grand socio fantasy spectacle, immediately creating major excitement among fans. Directed by Mallidi Vassishta after Bimbisara, the UV Creations production promised mythology, fantasy, adventure and cutting edge visuals. Its scale, Chiranjeevi’s comeback to fantasy cinema and Trisha’s return alongside him made the announcement highly anticipated.
The film was originally scheduled for Sankranti 2025, but the release was postponed as Ram Charan’s Game Changer occupied the festival slot. The bigger challenge soon became extensive VFX work. The team reportedly planned thousands of effects shots, eventually pushing the project through multiple potential release windows.
The October 2024 teaser initially created curiosity but its visual effects drew significant criticism, weakening the film’s momentum. The makers later clarified that the teaser contained AI generated placeholder visuals created under time pressure, not final CGI. However, repeated delays and limited promotional content subsequently made audience interest difficult to sustain.
Vishwambhara can still bounce back strongly with a captivating trailer, powerful songs, character glimpses and spectacular VFX that clearly demonstrate the film’s true scale. Its fantasy adventure, child friendly and family oriented appeal could work particularly well during a festive window. With compelling promotions and a confirmed date, Chiranjeevi’s film can rebuild anticipation quickly. An official release announcement remains crucial. However it depends on OTT deal too.
