After the 2021 announcement, where Deepika disclosed her collaboration with Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan for "The Intern," an official Hindi remake, reports suggesting that the film will resume its production. Although initial speculations suggested shelving, there are indications that Deepika will begin filming in January 2024, yet no official confirmation has been released by the makers.
Amit Ravinderanath Sharma is set to direct the film, with Deepika Padukone and Sunir Kheterpal taking on production duties. Reportedly, the shoot will start from January 2024. Ever since its announcement, the film underwent multiple delays due to various circumstances.
