Chiranjeevi Vishwambhara To Be Made With Humongous Budget

Megastar Chiranjeevi has been an undisputed numero uno for decades until he left films for his political affiliations. Even after his comeback, he made a grand reentry with the Blockbuster 'Khaidi No 150' followed by another box office hit as well as the critically acclaimed 'Sye Raa'. But, things changed upside down for him from 'Acharya'. Multiple delays, COVID restrictions, changes in the script, and many other reasons made the film a debacle at the box office. Chiranjeevi didn't find respite with his next release, 'Godfather' which is a remake of the Malayalam film 'Lucifer'.

This year Megastar started with a bang. His 'Waltair Veerayya' which was released for Sankranthi became a huge blockbuster earning more than Rs 200 Crores gross. Then with 'Bholaa Shankar', which is a remake of the Tamil film, 'Vedalam' Chiranjeevi the rock bottom. It became a huge disaster raising concerns about Megastar's script selection even from his fans. But, Chiranjeevi who is known for his mega comebacks has other plans.

After the 'Bholaa Shankar' failure, Chiranjeevi switched his modus operandi. He kept aside an already announced project in Kalyan Krishna's direction which is rumored to be inspired by a Malayalam film. He started listening to stories and zeroed in on young director Vassistha who delivered the sensational hit 'Bimbisara' with Nandamuri Kalyanram. The script narrated by Vassistha impressed Megastar and after suggesting some tweaks, he listened to the final narration and gave the go-ahead for the project.

After taking time for the pre-production, the film finally hit the floors. Another exciting piece of news is the film which is reportedly titled 'Vishwambhara' which is touted to be a socio-fantasy film and is being made with a humongous budget of 240-300 crores. UV Creations is bankrolling the project and they are leaving no stone unturned. Another update about the film is Chiranjeevi for the first time playing a Godavari region guy named Dorababu. It is also said that he will be uttering Godavari slang in the film.
