Rani Mukerji to act in successful Mardaani franchise

Bollywood star actress Rani Mukerji will return to the big screen in Mardaani 3, the third installment of the Mardaani franchise. Fans are eager to see the actress return to the action-packed franchise after she revealed the news. Rani plays the role of the determined cop Shivani Shivaji Roy in the Yash Raj Films produced franchise.

Now, reportes suggest that the script for the movie has been locked, and production is anticipated to begin shortly. Reportedly, Gopi Puthrans spent months writing the screenplay for the movie, and producer Aditya Chopra, Rani's husband, has now given it the go-ahead. The remainder of the film's cast is currently being discussed by the makers.

In one of interviews Rani said that “I, as an actor, always believe that we don’t want to do a film because it sounds good. We need to do a film when the script is good, and when we want to make a film that makes a difference," in reference to Mardaani 3. She added that the team can't afford to produce a film like Mardaani 3 if the story lacks depth".

Mardaani 2 and the first installment have both garnered favorable reviews, proving the success of the Mardaani franchise. Rani Mukerji, Jisshu Sengupta, Komal Chhabria, and Sunny Hinduja were among the cast members in Mardaani 2, whereas Tahir Raj Bhasin, Saanand Verma, Avneet Kaur, and Jisshu Sengupta had crucial roles in Mardaani.
