Thalapathy Vijay's gangster drama, "Leo," which was released for Dasara opened big at the boxoffice. Despite mixed reviews, the film has managed to exceeded all expectations, evolving into a blockbuster that has grossed over Rs 600 crore worldwide. With this the film has successfully crossed Kollywood's highest grosser Superstar Rajinikanth's Jailer.

It's been almost a month since Leo theatrical release and the film has grossed Rs 400+ crores from India and Rs 200+ gross from overseas markets which takes its total to Rs 600+ crs. The film which is made in the direction of Lokesh Kanagaraj is now all-time highest grosser from Kollywood if we exclude Rajinikanth's 2.0 which had a major chunk of collections from Hindi version.

The latest updates from Tamil film circles reveal that "Leo" is gearing up for a re-release, gracing more than 100 screens across Tamil Nadu. The decision is motivated due to poor performance of latest releases. So, even in its 5th week, theatre owners opt for "Leo" to continue screening in their screens.

Boasting a stellar cast including Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, and Arjun in lead roles, "Leo" is produced by SS Lalit Kumar and musical brilliance by Anirudh Ravichander. The film has a very good run at Telugu boxoffice too during the festival weekend.
