Epic Clash Of Kamal Haasan And Suriya

A big box office clash is brewing if the reports turn out to be true. Kamal Haasan's Indian 2 and Suriya's Kanguva are the two much-awaited projects coming from Kollywood. Both projects are being made with huge budgets at a pan-India level. Both of them recently shared the screen with 'Vikram'. Tinsel Town buzz indicated that both Indian 2 and Kanguva are eyeing the same release date.

Kamal Haasan is gearing up with his 'Indian 2,' the sequel to his 1996 vigilante blockbuster, directed by Shankar. Suriya's magnum opus 'Kanguva,' directed by Siruthai Siva is also a hugely anticipated project which is riding high with expectations. Rumors abound that two highly-anticipated films are eying for a grand release on the same day, April 11 next year. While there's no official confirmation yet, the buzz is that both productions are willing to lock the date. 

The main reason behind both teams looking for the same date is, that in April 2024, Eid is falling on April 11th (Thursday) and Tamil New Year day on April 14th (Sunday), and a general holiday is expected on Monday.  So, it will be a long weekend and both films want to cash in the opportunity. It would be an epic clash if both films arrived on the same day. 

'Indian 2' includes a stellar cast such as Sidharth, Kajal Agarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, SJ Surya, Bobby Simha, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Brahmanandam, Samuthirakani and music by Anirudh Ravichander produced by Lyca and Red Giant. 'Kanguva' features Disha Patani alongside Mrunal Thakur, and Yogi Babu, Kovai Sarala, Anand Babu, and Redin Kingsley in key roles. Devi Sri Prasad is composing the music while UV Creations and Studio Green are bankrolling it.
