How Tollywood Stars avoided Mahadev App

Tollywood Stars avoided Mahadev App.Unlike their Bollywood counterparts, Telugu film actors strictly confine their dance and performances to the big screen, avoiding appearances at weddings or private events, even when offered substantial sums of money. This contrast in approach recently shielded some of Tollywood's leading stars from coming under the scrutiny of the Enforcement Directorate.

The agency is currently investigating 14 Bollywood celebrities for performing at the wedding of Mahadev app promoter Sourabh Chandrakar. It has come to light that Chandrakar and his team had approached several top Tollywood A-listers with lucrative offers to dance at his extravagant wedding in Ras Al-Khaimah, Dubai. However, the Telugu celebrities declined the invitations.

Chandrakar's lavish wedding, costing a staggering Rs. 200 crore in cash, drew the attention of the Enforcement Directorate, ultimately putting him and his partner Ravi Uppal in the spotlight. Multiple sources have confirmed that calls were made to some prominent Tollywood actors months before the event. While Bollywood celebrities were being roped in one by one, Chandrakar's team tried in vain to secure participation from Tollywood stars.

Despite last-minute efforts and even reaching out to at least three actors, they all refused categorically. Had they accepted, the plan was to involve more actors, reflecting Chandrakar's desire for a grand event.Notably, several Bollywood stars did agree to perform, lured by significant monetary rewards, lavish gifts, and top-notch accommodations at the Burj Khalifa.

In Bollywood, performing at weddings and private events is a common practice, often a source of pride for actors. Conversely, in Tollywood, this is a rarity, typically reserved for family or close friends' events, purely for enjoyment rather than financial gain.Actor Harshavardhan Rane, who works in both Bollywood and Tollywood, acknowledges that he would dance at a wedding for financial security, emphasizing his lack of a godfather in the industry.

Tollywood actor Nandu takes a more open-minded view, stating that if performances at private parties are purely for entertainment and don't offend anyone or break the law, there's nothing inherently wrong with Bollywood stars participating in such events.Explaining the hesitation among Tollywood stars to perform at private events, actor Srinivas Avasarala points out that South Indian weddings traditionally don't include dance performances, which might explain the reluctance of Tollywood actors to engage in such occasions.
