Kannur Squad finishes censor formalities. Malayalam superstar Mammootty is gearing up for his role as a police cop in the highly anticipated movie "Kannur Squad." In this upcoming thriller, Mammootty portrays George Martin, an assistant sub-inspector determined to track down a criminal gang.

Directed by the talented debutant Roby Varghese Raj, "Kannur Squad" has generated considerable excitement among cinema enthusiasts since the release of its trailer. The film is being produced under Mammootty's banner, Mammootty Kampany, and is distributed by Wayfarer Productions.

Mammootty took to social media on September 21 to announce the film's release date. "Kannur Squad" has received a U/A certification after censoring.The movie has been filmed in various locations, including the renowned Maharaja's College in Ernakulam, a college where Mammootty himself is an alumnus. As part of the film's promotional activities, the actor shared a video of his visit to the college.

"Kannur Squad" boasts an ensemble cast that includes Kishore, Vijayaraghavan, Rony David Raj, Azeez Nedumangad, Shabareesh Varma, Sarath Sabha, and Sunny Wayne.Muhammad Shafi and Rony David Raj are credited as the scriptwriters, with Rahil serving as the cinematographer and Praveen Prabhakar as the editor. Sushin Shyam, known for his music in Mammootty's "Bheeshma Parvam" (2022) and "Romancham" (2023), is the music director for the film.

After "Kannur Squad," Mammootty's fans can look forward to his appearance in "Bazooka," directed by debutant Deen Dennis. He will then collaborate with director Amal Neerad for "Bilal," the sequel to their cult hit "Big B" (2007).Additionally, Mammootty is teaming up with young actor Rahul Sadasivan for "Bramayugam," a horror thriller.
