Nana Patekar on OTT revolution. Nana Patekar is all set for the release of his upcoming film, "The Vaccine War," and in a recent interview, the seasoned actor shared his insights on the growing influence of OTT platforms in the entertainment industry.

Reflecting on the changing landscape of the industry, Nana remarked, "During our time, we didn't have the opportunities that actors like us, with unconventional looks, are getting now. Faces like Om Puri, Irrfan, Manoj Bajpayee, and Raghubir Yadav didn't fit the conventional mold. Even I didn't have the quintessential 'hero' look. However, with the advent of OTT platforms, we've been granted a platform to showcase our talents. People have recognized us and started appreciating our work." This evolution has opened new avenues for actors, allowing them to display their skills beyond the boundaries of traditional cinema and theater.

Nana also delved into the changing dynamics of stardom in the film industry, observing how the concept of superstardom has evolved over time. He pointed out that today's stars can rise and fall in mere weeks based on box office results, in contrast to legendary actors like Dilip Kumar, Raj Kapoor, and Dev Anand, whose films continue to be remembered by audiences. This shift highlights the dynamic nature of the entertainment business.

Nana Patekar, with a career spanning over three decades, has left an indelible mark on Indian cinema. His notable contributions include stellar performances in films like "Parinda" (1989), "Krantiveer" (1994), "Khamoshi: The Musical" (1996), and "Welcome" (2007). In "The Vaccine War," Nana will make a comeback to the big screen, portraying the role of the head of the Indian scientist team responsible for developing India's first COVID-19 vaccine during the pandemic. The film also features a talented ensemble cast, including Anupam Kher, Raima Sen, Sapthami Gowda, and Pallavi Joshi in prominent roles. Moviegoers can look forward to its release on September 28, eagerly anticipating Nana Patekar's return to the cinematic stage.
