Secretary of the state committee of the Cpm, Mr B V Raghavulu, said that only a House Committee can thoroughly probe the goings-on in the TTD Trust Board and also the ‘missing’ case of the invaluable jewelry of Lord Venkateswara and bring out the truth. Talking to media persons here, Mr Raghavulu said that the proposed House Committee should have representatives from all the parties and it should be given ample powers to remove any one who is involved in the irregularities. He is of the opinion that the TTD Trust Board members are misusing their powers.

Mr Raghavulu said that the bill passed by the Assembly on Friday bringing in amendments to the Registration of Societies Act is anti-democratic. He demanded the State Government to immediately drop the move and withdraw the bill.

With regard to the Tekkali bypoll and the elections to the Zilla Parishad Territorial Constituencies (ZPTCs), the Cpm leader said that the district committees of the party will take a decision on aligning with a political party in the bypolls. “The respective district committees can take their own decision on whether or not to join hands with any political party in the byelections,” he explained.

Mentioned about the completion of the Rajasekhara Reddy’s Government completing 100 days in its second term in office, the Cpm state secretary felt that the Congress Government is only wasting time to take revenge on the legislators belonging to Opposition parties. “The Akarsha and Vikarsha schemes will no longer work. People have become very clever and better if the Chief Minister realizes this,” he observed
