Stressing the fact that a disciplined economy is a must for the progress of the country, Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy commended the chartered accountants for playing a major role in building the economy of the country.
Speaking at the inaugural function of the two-day conference of Southern India Regional Council of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India here on Saturday, the Chief Minister said that you need not be worried about the present Global Economic crisis. The economy will soon be back on rails.
The Self Help Groups (SHGs) in the state also popularly known as DWCRA (Development of Women and Children in Rural Areas) Groups, programs are a roaring success, the chief Minister added. He cautioned the chartered accountants to be more careful so that no scams like the Sataym Computers will recur. The conference titled ‘Jnana Yajan’ was of immense importance to the chartered accountants in the context of the world becoming a global village.
