The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Wednesday cancelled the interim orders issued against Pidathala Satyam Babu, accused in the murder of 19-year-old pharmacy student Ayesha Meera in Vijayawada, seeking relief from trial proceedings.
Admitting a petition filed by the police, the court lifted its interim orders and directed them to continue the investigations into the case.
Earlier, reacting favourably to the plea of Satyam's mother, the court issued interim orders against Satyam Babu staying the trial proceedings on account of his health problems.
Satyam Babu is being treated at Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences for Guillain Barre Syndrome. Both his legs are affected.
