All teacher posts will be filled soon: Minister

All the teacher posts announced as per District Selection Committee -2008 notifications will be filled soon, stated Minister for Primary Education Manikya Varaprasada Rao.

After a Cabinet sub-panel meet, chaired by Chief Minister K Rosaiah at the Secretariat on Friday, the minister said the vacancies specified by the DSC-2008 notification would be filled soon.

The cabinet has decided to fill 30,557 vacant teacher posts, posting of which were blocked by legal problems. The government intends to streamline the recruitment process with regard to the teacher posts.

The posting for 9,374 vacancies would be done in a phased manner in view of the financial problem the state was facing, the Minister said. The Cabinet would meet once again on May 19 to take a decision on this issue.
