Sabitha assures better deal to Satyam Babu

Home Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy on Friday assured P Mariyamma, the mother of P Satyam Babu (22), the prime accused in the rape and murder of 19-year-old B Pharmacy student Ayesha Meera, that better treatment would be meted out to Satyam Babu.

The Home Minister made this statement after P Mariyamma and other Dalit  members staged a dharna in front of her house on Friday demanding better treatment to Satyam Babu.

Mariyamma told the Minister despite the High Court directions to NIMS doctors to provide good treatment, they neglected her son.

Satyam Babu has been suffering from Gyllian Barious Syndrome, a neurological disorder.Meanwhile, the police arrested some Dalit leaders who tried to picket the Home Minister’s house.
