Seeking to alleviate apprehensions among people from Telangana region, Chief Minister K Rosaiah on Friday said his government is ready to create a permanent mechanism to ensure protection of safeguards to Telanganites in jobs for local people under GO 610.

Rosaiah’s offer came in the Assembly after the House was adjourned for 10 minutes by Deputy Speaker N Manohar during Zero Hour following the obstruction of proceedings by Telugu Desam Party members from the Telangana region and Bharatiya Janata Party member Kishen Reddy.

They had disrupted proceedings by raising the issue of a youth committing suicide after being dejected over the non-implementation of GO 610.

Asserting that his government was fully committed to implementation of GO 610, the Chief Minister invited suggestions from Oppn members to amicably resolve issues relating to implementation of the GO.
