Former minister Dokka Manikyavara Prasad on Saturday said that he would take a final decision about his political future after consulting his followers on Sunday.
Speaking to media persons in Assembly premises here, Dokka said that he was in confused state of mind as his political guru Rayapati Sambasiva Rao was planning to join the TDP. Stating that Rayapati was instrumental in giving him a political identity and recognition, he said he could never go against Rayapati. However, he said he was yet to decide whether to support Rayapati, stay with the Congress or quit the politics. He made it clear that he would never contest against Rayapati even if he stays with the Congress party.
Dokka admitted that the Congress party has become weak in Seemandhra region. He advised the Congress High Command to announce that it would give the Chief Minister's post to a BC leader to revive the party's prospects in the residuary State of Andhra Pradesh. Speaking about cine star Pawan Kalyan who recently launched Jana Sena party, he said his efforts to meet Pawan in the recent past prove futile. However, he would advise Pawan Kalyan to support the Congress party in the interest of Telugu speaking people. He said Pawan's support to BJP would not help anyone.
