BJP State President G Kishan Reddy on Wednesday stated that the Bharatiya Janata Party was not a communal party.
Addressing the Eid Milaap function organised by the BJP State Minority Morcha at party's State headquarters at Nampally to mark the Pongal and Milaad-un-Nabi, Kishan Reddy said that the BJP never differentiated people because of their religion. He said that many Muslims have been joining the party and they could certify the secular approach of the BJP. He alleged that the Congress party has used the Muslims as a vote bank.
Kishan Reddy said that the plans for educational and overall development of Muslims would be incorporated in the party's manifesto for the 2014 elections. He said BJP wants Muslim of the country to get equal opportunities in education, jobs and other sectors on par with other communities. He said that the teachings of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) were meant for the entire humanity and they should be followed and practised to establish peace and harmony in the world.
BJP leaders including Bandaru Dattatreyya, Dr K Lakshman, Ramchandra Rao and Minority Morcha president Syed Haneef Ali also addressed the meeting.
