TDP MLA P Keshav has alleged that YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was still afraid of Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
Addressing a press conference at the Telugu Desam Legislature Party office here on Friday, Keshav said that while Jagan was rushing towards the Speaker's podium over the Telangana issue in the Lok Sabha, he just had a glance of Sonia Gandhi and silently returned to his seat. He asked Jagan to clarify as to why he was afraid of the Congress party president.
Keshav alleged that the Congress party has used YSR Congress Party and Telangana Rashtra Samithi to divide the State. They are hand-in-glove on the State's bifurcation issue although YSRCP is projecting itself as the saviour of united Andhra Pradesh while the TRS is acting like the champion of Telangana. He said both the parties were acting at the behest of the ruling Congress party.
The TDP MLA said that these parties have been targeting TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu for no reason. He said that the Congress party was afraid that Naidu might return to power in the next elections and therefore, to minimise his chances of winning, the Congress is using both the YSRCP and TRS to target Naidu. However, he said that their efforts would prove futile and the TDP would return to power in the next elections with a comfortable majority.
