BJP State President G Kishan Reddy on Wednesday alleged that the Group of Ministers (GoM) was not serious on the bifurcation issue.

Kishan Reddy, who made representation to the GoM on Tuesday in the national capital, told reporters here that the GoM did not adopt a proper procedure to bifurcate Andhra Pradesh. However, he said that Telangana would be reality and the BJP would play a crucial in passing the Telangana Bill in the Parliament. Besides supporting the Telangana Bill, he said that the BJP would strongly present the case of Seemandhra region by seeking special packages for its development.

The BJP leader said that the BJP has been fighting for the cause of Telangana since beginning and it would maintain its stand till its formation. He slammed the ruling Congress party for presenting a divided opinion on the issue. He also condemned the TDP and YSRCP for opposing the bifurcation move. He alleged that both TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu and YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy were hoping to become Chief Ministers of united Andhra Pradesh after next elections.

Kishan Reddy also condemned former minister Dr P Shankar Rao's announcement that he would build a temple for Congress President Sonia Gandhi. He said that the Congress leaders should first focus on solving the problems of Telangana and Seemandhra people after bifurcation and then build temples for over 1,000 martyrs of Telangana.
