Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana on Tuesday announced that the views expressed by both Telangana and Seemandhra leaders would be sent to the Group of Minister (GoM) on the issue of bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.
Talking to reporters at Minister's Quarters here, Botsa said that while Telangana leaders strongly recommended division of State and immediate formation of Telangana, the Seemandhra leaders opposed the division. He said that he would send the views of leaders of both the regions to the GoM.
It may be mentioned that Botsa held separate meetings with the leaders of both Telangana and Seemandhra regions on Monday. The division among Congress leaders on the issue was quite apparent and they insisted that their views be endorsed as the official stand of State Congress on the Telangana region. In order to ensure that the PCC's stand does not create any controversy, Botsa has decided to pass on the views from the both the regions to the GoM.
