TRS demands CBI inquiry in Lanco, GMR deals

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi has demanded a CBI inquiry into the additional payments to Lanco and GMR by Transco.

The additional payments to the two companies have burdened the common man to a tune of Rs 2,000 crore, TRS leader K Tarakarama Rao told reporters here on Friday. He said that the two companies should be immediately blacklisted and the government should recover the Rs 147 crore lost in the dealing.

Training his guns on Lagadapati Rajagopal, who owns Lanco group and a known detractor of TRS, has speak out on this irregularity, he said. The privatization of Nizam Sugars is also a big scam and TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu is the key person in it, he said and demanded that action should be taken against the TDP leader.

KTR also questioned as to why the Congress government was not taking action against Chandrababu Naidu.  Even the House Committee has found fault with Naidu and the court too had had been vocal about it, he said.

The TRS leader demanded that action should be taken against the three minister involved in the scam.
