Senior Congress leader Jc Diwakar Reddy said that he will abide by the High Command decision on the Telangana issue.
“We have already told about the sentiments of Rayalaseema people and need not reiterate about it,” he said. He denied that there were any signals from the Centre that Telangana is a certainty.
While Congress leaders from Telangana are very vocal and confident about the separate state, Seemandhra people are either in a mode of confrontation or resigned to the inevitable stating that the High Command will decide. The sentiment in Telangana is strong is a known fact which the Central leaders have acknowledged and the by-election results too speak of it.
Going by the latest developments, senior leaders like Kavuri Sambasiva Rao and Lagadapati Rajagopal are not making the noise in their known level of decibels. Kavuri, who was annoyed for being sidelined, had an audience with Prime Minister and things went well.
With the date drawing closer leaders are speaking in their own language and words and some are even quoting and challenging the high command.
However, Congress culture has it that they will finally adopt a one line resolution and leave it to the party high command. If things happen in a different manner, we need to be surprised.
