Telugu Desam Telangana Forum Convenor Errabelli Dayakar Rao on Thursday said that the Telangana Forum would extend its total support to the `Telangana March’ being organized under the aegis of Telangana Political Joint Action Committee.
Talking to media persons at Telugu Desam Legislative Party Office, he said that the Forum would organize rallies in Mandal headquarters on Friday and Saturday as part of expressing solidarity to the March. He asked the Congress MLAs and MPs from the region to mount pressure on the State Government to grant permission for the March. “It is the responsibility of MPs, Ministers and MLAs to prevail upon the government to give its nod for the Telangana March,” he said.
Dayakar Rao urged all parties and leaders to make the March a grand success by participating in large number. He alleged that the TRS and Congress party were indulging in match-fixing and targeting the Telugu Desam Party in the region on the statehood issue.
Stating that the TDP stand by its letter given to the Centre on the Telangana statehood issue, he said that the party has issued the letter only after discussing the same with Seemandhra leaders. He accused TRS of misquoting contents in the letter to get political mileage on it. He asked K Chandrasekhar Rao to explain as to why the government did not called for an all-party meeting over the bifurcation of State issue despite he staying in New Delhi for more than 15 days.
Though Congress in-charge of state affairs Ghulam Nabi Azad and Congress emissary Vayalar Ravi were speaking against the Telangana state formation, he asked as to why KCR was not responding on their comments.
Forum leader Kadium Srihari stated that the Congress leaders have no right to participate in the March if they fail to get police permission for it. Motkupalli Narasimhulu was also present in the meeting.
