Nellore Congress MLA Anam Vivekananda Reddy on Saturday stated that the verdict given by people on the Kadapa Parliamentary and Pulivendula Assembly constituencies will not much impact on the state politics.
Talking to media persons after meeting Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy at his Camp Office, Mr Vivekananda Reddy stated that YSR Congress Party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy and Vijayalakshmi won in the constituencies due to prevailing special situation in the district and due to a sympathy wave following the death of former chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy.
Rubbishing media reports that the by-election results will alter political scenario in the state, he said no such thing will happen as stable conditions prevailed in the state. “It must be remembered that the election was held in only one district,” Mr Vivekananda Reddy said.
Responding to Kamalapuram MLA Veerasiva Reddy and Congress candidate DL Ravindra Reddy statement of transferring their properties in the event of Mr Jaganmohan Reddy crossing the two lakh majority margin, the Nellore MLA said the candidates had only issued an oral challenge.
“They did not sign any agreement in this connection. So there is no question of transferring of properties,” he pointed out.
