Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao on Thursday announced the calendar for the next phase of agitations on the separate Telangana statehood demand after discussing the strategy to be adopted to keep the T issue at the forefront in a party Executive Committee meeting.

Talking to media persons after emerging out of the meeting held at Telangana Bhavan, KCR stated that the strategy for intensifying the Telangana agitation has been finalized and would be set in place following the results of the elections to Assemblies of five states.

“As per our strategy, we will mount pressure on Centre to introduce the separate Telangana Bill in Parliament, which it had promised to do so after the completion of elections to the Assemblies of the five states,” KCR said.

He revealed that the party Executive Committee resolved to organize Rasta Rokos demanding introduction of Telangana Bill in Parliament on May 14 across the Telangana districts.

On May 19, the Telangana leaders would stage dharnas at all Mandal headquarters and they will picket Collectorates on May 25. Rail Rokos will be organized from May 30, he stated.

Describing Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu and YSR Congress president Jaganmohan Reddy as ‘integrationists’, KCR stated that Telangana people  will not allow them to visit the districts of the region.

The Trs chief added that the people of the region would never believe Telugu Desam Party Telangana Forum convenor Nagam Janardhan Reddy and Congress leader Jupalli Krishna Rao. He added that the people suspected the intentions of these leaders since they had an ambivalent stand on Telangana. 

KCR asked the party cadre to make efforts to ensure that the Trs captures the Local Bodies of the region in the forthcoming elections.

The Trs chief also demanded that the state government make efforts for deletion of Clause 14 (F) to complete the process of recruitments of Sub-Inspectors in the police department.

KCR further demanded that the government change the plans of the Hyderabad Metro Rail to protect the historic Sultan bazaar from being demolished.

Stating that the farmers in the state are not getting Minimum Support Price for paddy, the Trs chief asked the government to open more purchasing centres to help the farmers to sell their produce.

He also demanded that the Chief Minister N kiran Kumar Reddy make sincere efforts for according National Project status for the Pranahita-Chevella project.
