Anam scoffs at exit polls, says YSV will win Pulivendula

Nellore Rural Congress MLA Anam Vivekananda Reddy on Wednesday rubbished the exit poll reports predicting that YSR Congress Party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy will win with a majority of around four lakh votes in the by-elections for the Kadapa Lok Sabha seat.

Talking to media persons at Assembly Media Point, the Congress MLA stated there was no truth in the exit poll surveys and stated that there was no way that Mr Jaganmohan Reddy would get a majority of four lakh votes.

“Even getting a majority of around one lakh votes would be very difficult for him. Around 70,000 majority would probably be the case,” said Mr Anam Vivekananda Reddy.

When asked whether some Congress MLAs would switch loyalties to Mr Jaganmohan Reddy if he manages to win by a high majority, he said that those MLAs who had rubbed shoulders with the YSR Congress president earlier are already distancing themselves from him. “This is due to his dictatorial attitude and his style of functioning,” Mr Anam Vivekananda Reddy said.

Reiterating that Congress candidate YS Vivekananda Reddy would win the Pulivendula Assembly constituency, Mr Anam Vivekananda Reddy stated that the people of the Constituency were sympathetic towards Mr YS Vivekananda Reddy.

Stating there was no threat to the Congress government, he said that no political leader in the state has the capacity to dethrone Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy or destabilize his government.
