Chandrababu Naidu Gets Bail In Skill Development Case

In a big victory, Chandra Babu gets bail in Skill Development Case. Chandrababu Naidu, the leader of the Telugu Desam Party, saw a positive turn of events on Monday when the Andhra Pradesh High Court granted him regular bail in the skill development case. Currently, he is enjoying interim bail until November 28.

This legal development follows the high court's decision on October 31, when it provided a four-week interim bail to the former Andhra Pradesh chief minister on medical grounds. Chandrababu Naidu had been confined in the Rajahmundry central prison since September 10, the day after his arrest by the Crime Investigation Department (CID) in connection with the multi-crore skill development corporation scam. Subsequently, he was remanded to judicial custody by the Special Court for the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) cases in Vijayawada.

The CID initiated an investigation in March of this year into an alleged scam worth ₹3,300 crore in the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) during the previous TDP regime. The legal proceedings have unfolded against the backdrop of these allegations, and Chandrababu Naidu's bail extension brings a degree of relief as the legal process unfolds.
